Mr. Savi Khafi,
founder of Afghan Malaya Trading Company Pte. Ltd. developed an interest
in gemstones while working for his father-in-law in India. This experience
working with rubies, sapphires and diamonds gave him insight and knowledge
into the multi faceted gemstone industry.
Diatraco corporation was established in 1979 to work in conjunction with
Afghan Malaya Trading Company Pte. Ltd. Joseph Khafi, a GIA Graduate Gemologist,
heads this corporation since completing his Bachelors' Degree in Economic
and Business Management. Beginning in 1986, he traveled extensively between
New York and he Far East establishing a strong link between East and West.Today,
diamonds are the main focus. Together with his sons, Joseph in New York
and Reuben in Singapore, Mr. Khafi continues his family's tradition of
excellence in business.
